Whenever I do the Friday reviews, I always try to look for a few standards. One, that it has appeal to couples and offers more than just sex. Two, that the stories and concept are believable and realistic. Three, that the casting has performers who can act as well as be sexually appealing. In this release from Sweet Sinner, you have all three components nicely etched all together by Mike Quasar. The fact that everyone in the cast of this film is also up for a variety of award nominations from XBIZ and AVN for their work during the past year, speaks well of their talents.
Tommy Pistol and Freya Parker are a married couple, but their union is on some very shaky ground with seemingly no chance of getting back to what it was. Pistol, has his own problems and has been seeing a therapist, September Reign, who he has been having an affair with. So, she urges him to take out a huge insurance policy on his wife, but that’s not all. The therapist sees a way to have Tommy and a better life all in one sweep. So how can that happen? She convinces him to hire a hitman to do the dirty work. Tommy’s not sure, but damn, some steamy sex can always help in making a decision. So, he goes about enlisting the services of Ryan McLane, a hired gun, to do the job for a nice big fee. What Tommy didn’t know was that Freya was going about her own business of filing for a divorce as well, but in a more legitimate way.
Nothing is easy in this setup as Ryan doesn’t immediately jump at the chance to make some big bucks so he can get away from his current life and go off somewhere with his girlfriend, Kenzie Taylor. The more he gets pressured to do the job, the more he feels something just doesn’t add up. So now you have both September pushing Tommy to get the deed done and Kenzie literally screaming at Ryan to take the money, do the job and then they can live their lives. So, against better judgement Ryan gives in and starts to plan his methods of erasing Freya and then getting out of town.
The big problem is once he meets Freya and gets to know her, he suddenly has feelings of guilt. One thing leads to another with these two and finally he can’t take it anymore and confesses to her what his original plan was but that he has fallen for her and cannot go through with it. She admits she was having feelings for him as well and forgives him. Of course, this all gets consummated with one hell of a sexual romp between them. So now that Ryan and Freya seem to have each other what comes next for all involved?
Let’s just say it is not all peaches and cream for everyone and some twists and turns take place before this story comes to an end. Does Ryan play Freya and go off with Kenzie? Do Tommy and September continue their affair? Does Ryan dump Kenzie for Freya? Does anyone meet a deadly end in this saga? Oh, there will be quite an ending to this story, but we will leave that for you to discover when you get hold of this DVD.
The story is well written by Jacky St. James and played out in fine fashion by this extremely talented and competent cast. September Reign shows why she is heavily nominated for her acting skills and Tommy Pistol is, to me, one of the best all around actors to ever grace the porn screen. Kenzie, Freya and Ryan also are top shelf when it comes to acting performances. The pacing from scene to scene is well done, the cinematography allows for some super visuals not just of the sex scenes, but the overall production and settings. Quasar’s first feature for the label is definitely a very enjoyable and entertaining sex mystery geared for couples to be pleased with. If you are looking for a good “cuddle up” movie to view, then I highly recommend getting hold of “The Hitman: Love is Deadly”.

For the first time in a several years, tomorrow will be the first real Thanksgiving taking place since the pandemic. The skies, roads and rails will be jam packed with people going on long trips to celebrate with family and friends, something that had been missing for the past couple of years and took a lot of joy and happiness out of the holiday season. Once again turkey day with all the trimmings, parades and football will be celebrated by families and friends that are happily going to be able to all get together again to enjoy this holiday.
Whether it is planes, trains or automobiles the roadways, rails and sky are going to be very busy throughout the entire country. Even though prices have gone up for everything like airline fares, gas for the automobile, hotels, rentals, etc. people are just glad to get back to some sort of normalcy. Let’s face it, the past few years have brought on a lot of depression, frayed nerves, senseless killings, more than enough illness with the various “bugs” and lives turned upside down through a variety of reasons. Now, as we head into the major holiday season, people are breathing a bit of a sigh of relief. They know it will cost more for everything, but that is also the price of trying to get lives back to normal.
Unlike many who will be going on long trips for the holiday, Carole and I will be making a 20 mile drive over to Palm Harbor for Thanksgiving to spend with my second family, the Cianci’s and we are looking forward to it as always. Wherever all of you are spending your Thanksgiving holiday, we hope you have a great time, enjoy all the food, football, family, friendship and loved ones. Above all, please stay safe, especially during your travel times as it will get crazy out there.

Ricky Greenwood is one of the most diverse and talented directors in adult films. He is a true artist whose pallet paints incredible pictures of his creations. In addition to his directing, his skills as a writer and story teller add even more to his very dazzling portfolio. Whether it’s a sex drama, comedy, girl/girl, trans, gay or whatever genre he is working with his imprint is felt from start to finish. It is no wonder that Ricky continues to pile up award after award, and this film is in line for more. In “Grinders” he takes us back to the 90’s and the skateboarding phenomenon that gripped the country. He feeds us the story line in almost a pure documentary style and weaves in some blistering sexual scenes that smolder with just what that time period was like on a skateboard or in a bed.
Have you ever known someone who either has a hard time, or refuses to grow up and move on with their life? That pretty much sums up the makeup of our lead character in this coming of age reveal. Right from the open as we see Lucky Fate cruising about on his skateboard, music pumping away in the background, you know there is a lot of action to come in a variety of ways. One is his girlfriend Maya Woulfe, but that will take a while to develop. Then there is the ongoing feud he has with his father incredibly played by Tommy Pistol, one of adult’s most versatile and talented actors. Adding to the dynamics of this family is Vicki Chase as the mother in a solid role that offers up a lot more than just her passionate sexuality.
Throughout the film Lucky goes through a lot of rough patches both with friends, as well as family, but he is driven to succeed and also mature in the process. Along the way we get to enjoy others in this film in a variety of scenes both sexual and none sexual. There is a wild pool party scene that shows off Charlotte Sins to great advantage. There is Lucky’s buddy and resident hot shot Nathan Bronson having a great time with the likes of Vanna Bardot and Lilly Bell. We should all be so fortunate; this is a wow! scene. Then finally we get to see Lucky come full circle and have his time with Maya in one hell of a scene that exemplifies the long search Lucky has been on as he grows up and matures. While the sex scenes are sizzling hot, the crux of this film is the story of Lucky and how he maneuvers himself through all the changes that come his way.
The shaded docu style that Greenwood uses along with the punkish style music are the perfect fit for this film. The settings are blunt and raw, the lighting and effects take you right inside this wild world that Lucky is buried in and has your heart racing along with him as he winds his way through this maze of life. The casting is spot on with Lucky Fate the perfect, and only choice for this role. Tommy Pistol once again proves his artistry as an actor, Maya Woulfe plays his girlfriend with the perfect timidness that hides her real feelings, Vicki Chase once again scores big as the wife and mother and the rest of the cast fit just like a glove to bring the stark reality of this lifestyle into this epic production.
The AVN nominations were just announced and “Grinders” is up for a number of awards in a variety of categories, which is no surprise at all. The question is, just how many will this latest Ricky Greenwood gem walk away with? Whether you are into skateboarding, punk music, that 90’s lifestyle or not, this is a film you do not want to miss getting and enjoying. So do not pass it up.

Kimberly Carson born in Norfolk VA. on September 27th 1962. She was part of a military family, so her early life was one of conservatism. This week we take you back forty seven long years ago to 1975. It was a decade of change. In the world of entertainment among the year’s big films were “Jaws”, “Young Frankenstein”, “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” and “The Godfather II”. In the music world LaBelle, the Eagles, Black Sabbath, Elton John, Paul McCartney and Wings and Chicago are the big record sellers. This truly a work of art from porn’s golden age. It is actually based on a best seller on the N.Y. Times list back in the day. How the best selling book came about is a story in itself. But the film adaptation immediately became a major porn hit.
Starring Darby Lloyd Rains in one of her best ever performances she not only was sexually appealing, but she also possessed fantastic acting chops and it made this exceptionally produced film even better. With Metzger (aka Henry Paris) at the helm his films always had somewhat of way of using the imagination as you watched the film unfold and that is what you have here, and brilliantly done.
In the film Darby and her husband play radio talk show hosts who discuss sex on the air with their listeners and callers. But away from the mic, hubby is having an affair. When Darby finds out, well what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, so she decides to have one of her own. This turns their lives both on and off the air into one frenetic round of sexual pleasure and excitement as they try to keep their own lives together. The sex scenes offer more than you might expect for the time. There is humor, there is pathos, there is wonderment that all blends together extremely well. The sex scenes are explosive, nothing held back and offer plenty of good stroke time for the viewer. Ms. Rains really gets into her sex scenes and her penchant for real sexual connections and feelings made her performances even better. Great performances all around, sexually and non sexually in this true classic from the golden age. In addition to all this the music track that accompanies this film is excellent and lends to the overall feel of the film
You can find it today completely remastered in HD and with a ton of great extras added such as how the restoration was done, the soft and hard cuts, deleted scenes, director’s commentary, trailers of other Metzger porn classics, a 40 page booklet that tells of the entire history and process of the film and a lot more. If you are looking for a great porn classic, this 5 star gem “Naked Came A Stranger” is a great place to start.

Someone Deserves a Raise – Modern Day Sins – Director – Ricky Greenwood – Cast – Candice Dare, Rayveness, Vanessa Vega, Oliver Davis, Nathan Bronson.

Two compelling, dramatic, sinister yet playful, stories that are wrapped up in a nice package by director Greenwood. It is easy to see why, after just several minutes, why this release has a few worthy nominations in the upcoming AVN awards. Well written by Greenwood each story has a strong believability factor and is performed in a very honest and realistic way by the very talented cast of characters. The sexual connections that come along in each story are woven into the stories at just the right time and place to add even more believability to the scene.
In the opener Candice Dare and Rayveness are a married couple and Oliver Davis is employed by Candice, but there is an immediate twist to this three character play that will soon be revealed. Oliver has been doing a great job and Candice invites him to have dinner at her home. He’s a bit surprised and taken back but figures this may be a good step in getting a raise or promotion or both, so he accepts. Once he shows up at the very well appointed home he meets Candice’ wife, Rayveness who look absolutely stunning. As dinner begins Candice tells Oliver that while she is a lesbian and they are married, Rayveness is bisexual and at times needs what Candice cannot give her. So to satisfy the need Candice will bring home a guy for Rayveness to have fun with from time to time. Oliver is really shocked by this surprise announcement but is quickly put in a more relaxed mood by both ladies. What then takes place after dinner becomes a very explosive encounter between these two as they go at it hot and heavy with Rayveness leaving Oliver totally spent after their encounter. Did he get the promotion? He sure as hell got a raise!
In the second story Vanessa Vega and Nathan Bronson are a happily married couple with a bit of kink to their relationship. In the scene they are getting ready to welcome member of the HOa in their sub division. Nathan tells Vanessa to make sur she wears that special something. Everything is going accordingly once the guests arrive. That is until Nathan activates this special something he wanted Vanessa to wear. The fact is it is a remote controlled butt plug! Once it gets activated Vanessa starts playing with herself, making moans and murmurs. The looks on the guests faces are priceless and they can’t get out of their house fast enough. Once they are gone Vanessa is a little upset, but so damned turned on. Nathan is having a good laugh over it while she lets him have it. But she is so turned on she wants it right then and there and he takes advantage of his wife’s state and they get into one down and dirty encounter with that butt plug becoming even more in the action. When they are done and start to tidy up, they come a cross a note left by one of the neighbors that makes them both smile.
Well done segments with some excellent cinematography, lighting, pacing, eye catching visuals and believability. The cast for each segment was terrific and play their parts very well. It is easy to see why this release has a few AVN nominations. A great view for couples, so be sure and get hold of this award nominated DVD.
