Art’s World – November is National Model Railroad Month

This month is the perfect time to celebrate our love for model trains. What is more a part of Christmas besides Santa Claus, the tree, lights, decorations and all kinds of good times with family and friends? Model trains of course. Whether you are eight or eighty, model trains still have a big fascination for every age. Just go to a model railroad show and you will see men, women and children of all ages “oohing and aahing” over the model train layouts on display and the wide variety of model railroading merchandise available to purchase.

For me personally trains, both model and real, have always been a fascination. I never miss an episode of “Mighty Trains” on the Smithsonian Channel. When I was a small child my grandfather nicknamed me “Choo Choo”. Until about 25 years ago I was an avid model railroad guy. It all got started  when I got my very first Lionel train set when I was 6 years old. From that point on and over the years it got built into a six train layout that became so big it took up one whole room in the house and remained up the entire year! With all of the scenery, lighting, accessories, figures, moving parts it really took on a life of it’s own over all the years I had it. It really became a special thrill and my memories and remembrances from back then still burn brightly in my mind.

There are model train shows just about everywhere, including one that comes up Dec. 3 in Pinellas Park at the Performing Arts Center sponsored by Suncoast Model RR Club, http://www.suncoastmrrc.com/events.php.  The layouts are mind blowing and incorporate just about everything and anything. There are plenty of model railroad  train parts, collectibles, magazines, books, scenery and accessories for sale at these shows. There are layouts of every kind, every style and every size. It is amazing what some people can put together and make so realistic.

      

Model trains come in all size and gauges and some enthusiasts even run them outside their homes throughout their yard. The most popular gauges are the HO, but there is a lot to choose from. You can even get a model train set in an attache case (check out the photo). That is “Z” gauge, but it is extremely detailed and you can take this where ever you go. There are also layouts for those that want to put them under a glass top coffee table. There is no limit any longer when it comes to where model trains are set up, even outside of the home. Yes, there are a number of enthusiasts who set up  displays outside, as you can see in the photo above.

In addition to us mere mortals who love and collect model trains, there are a lot of celebrities who are also huge model train fans with big layouts. Tom Brokaw, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Tom Hanks, Phil Collins, Michael Jordan and others. Among the biggest layouts were Frank Sinatra’s who had an entire cottage built just to house his collection and layout. Collins postponed recording a new album because he was too busy working on a huge model train layout in his home. Today Rod Stewart, as you can see in the picture above has one of the largest, exact to scale layouts in model railroading. Matter of fact it is a known story that Stewart would take model trains with him on tour and set them up in his hotel suite to enjoy after a show. We might also add singer Neil Young is not only a model train buff, but also part owner of  the iconic Lionel Trains company.

Here is a website you must check out for Miniatur Wunderland…..https://www.miniatur-wunderland.com  This is the largest model train display in the world and you will not believe your eyes. Not only are there trains and different countries around the world represented in this display, but a full fledged model airport as well. The detail in every single part of this massive layout is impeccable. To me this is the greatest model train display to ever be assembled, and they are still adding to it! Too bad it is in Hamburg, Germany as that is just a bit too far to travel. But do check it out.

    

With Christmas just over a month away I know some of you are still avid model train players and will have the train sets up for the holidays for both yourself and the kids if you don’t already. So “All aboard!” and let’s celebrate National Model Train Month. Happy railroading everyone!

Friday 5 Star Feature – Up To and Including Her Limits Vol. 2 – Deeper.com

We did a complete review of the first volume back in September 2021 (https://aan.xxx/friday-4-star-feature-up-to-and-including-her-limits-deeper/) and here is the long awaited second volume. As she loves to do, director Kayden Kross take us on another spine tingling, edge of your seat sexual journey of the mind and what it can take and endure. Once again she digs into the psyches of four different women who want to explore to what limits their fears, anticipation and underlying excitement will take them. In each of these well thought out and performed scenes the women involved face the challenges that are laid out in front of them. Now it is up to them to take that challenge and see if it is all they wanted, expected and got pleasure from. Again, Ms. Kross makes sure that playing of the mind is the centerpiece of this film. Be excitedly prepared for some scenes that will have you twitching, unable to be still and stir up your own mind and body as you wonder, what if?

It opens with a scene titled “Doors” and star Jill Kassidy. She is the naive daughter of a powerful business man who wants torebel and begin to learn. After seeing her father and an associate (Rob Piper) counting out stacks of money she decides that maybe the time has come to experience what she has has held back from for so long. So she puts a plan in motion to start her rebellion, a plan that has a little twist to it. Problem is Rob is onto it and plays along until it gets to a point where Jill wants him and he tries, with no luck, to fight her off. Once that first kiss is exchanged between them the gloves, or should I say her clothes, come off. What follows is an intense, encounter as Rob puts her through all the positions and paces as Jill responds at the highest level until he unloads on her pussy for a satisfying ending to this eye opening scene.

But that is just the beginning as the following three scenes will also make you catch your breath, gasp, shake and wonder what might come next.  Then there is Lulu Chu in a scene titled “Exposure”, who is an agoraphobic (afraid of crowds and being out among people). She finally makes her way out after we see some scary scenes of her underwater. She sees a prostitute, Gianna Dior, interacting with “customers” and her curiosity is raised. She connects with Gianna and is suddenly pulled into a three way with one of Gianna’s clients, Manuel Ferrara. What happens next is explosive and that is an understatement. Then there is an eye popping scene that features Chloe Cherry in a segment titled “Personal Whore” with Dante Colle and Mick Blue. Her escalating role-play scenarios with her boyfriend eventually lead out of fantasy and into real life when she poses as a prostitute and brings home a john. What follows is hard pounding including a dp and a lot more than was bargained for. That gets followed by a scene titled “Second Ring” with Nicole Doshi and Isiah Maxwell. Nicole wears a ring for her master. When he presents a second ring to her, she follows his orders with both obedience and concern. But she knows what is expected and what she also wants. What takes place will keep your eyes riveted to the action taking place and that this kind of domination can create in an extremely very body trembling orgasmic way.

Once again Kayden Kross delivers another massive hit production in every way. Great casting where everyone gave it 1000%, incredible cinematography that captured every essence of every scene, the right touch of music and top flight visuals. This was an even better excursion into the sexual mind of women, than the first volume and definitely should go on your ‘must see” list. You will be in for a treat you won’t soon forget.

Throwback Thursday – Hall of Fame Stars – Kay Parker

The adult industry has just lost another of  it’s stars, icons and legend from the Golden Age of porn. The incredible Brit, Kay Parker, passed away from complications with cancer at her home in Chatsworth, California on October 14, 2022. She was 78 years old.

A True Legend in Porn

Kay Parker was born on August 28, 1944 in Birmingham, England right at the height of WW II. She grew up in Malta & Kent. Her father was an officer in the British Royal Navy. She spent her teen years in Germany, when she was 21 years old she moved to United States at the invitation of an older couple who wanted her to be part of their family.

Once in the states she worked a variety of jobs including being a waitress and at a head shop. She also did some acting in minor roles and had absolutely no thoughts of the adult industry, but a chance meeting with John Leslie would eventually change that. He had suggested she should appear in one of his films but the idea of porn turned her off and she said no. After a while she changed her mind and eased into it by doing several small non sex roles in the beginning.

By this time Kay was 33 years old and in 1977 she would make her hardcore debut in Anthony Spinelli’s “Sex World” which has gone on to become a porn classic. Her very first sex scene was with Joey Silvera and from that point on Kay Parker would continue to amaze and enthrall both cast members and fans with her all out sexuality, acting talents and that classy, elegant British look. Ms. Parker would next star in a film that would also become a classic, “7 into Snowy” a Mitchell Brothers production that was a takeoff on Snow White with Kay perfectly playing the domineering and mean stepmother.

As good as she was in those films, it was a film in 1980 that would forever seal Kay Parker’s place in porn as one of the great legends of the industry. That was “Taboo”,  a film with an incest theme, something unheard of back then. Mike Ranger played her son in the film and after the movie was completed these two would carry on a real life affair for a time. This film, because of the subject matter, would create a lot of publicity, both good and bad, controversy and popularity. One area that everyone agreed on was the fact that Kay Parker was the only one who could have played that role and carry it the way she did. She would appear in the next two sequels as well.

While it was “Taboo” that really brought her to prominence, Kay appeared in more than 120 films during her career and always displayed top notch, serious acting chops and a raw, mature sexuality that was very explosive. Among other films she appeared in were “Vista Valley PTA”, “The Dancers”, “Memphis Cathouse Blues”, Private Teacher” and “Matinee Idol” to name a few. Ms. Parker has said  she actually started her career in adult films as a way of exploration into her own sexuality, something several females in the industry have said as well..

She left adult films after 1984 mainly due to the AIDS scare along with other personal reasons. She eventually would return to the industry, only this time behind the scenes working for Caballero Video in their public relations department. She was also very much into the spiritual and went into intense spiritual study in late 1980s which led her to the path of meditation and spirituality. Since that time she has been a spiritual mentor.

Today, at age 77, Ms. Parker still has that look of elegance and class.  She wrote her biography, “Taboo: Sacred, Don’t Touch” and discusses her childhood, life as an adult, spiritual experiences and getting into metaphysics. It is a very interesting and honest read. Jill Nelson listed Kay in her book, “25 Legendary Women of Classic Erotic Cinema”. She is a well respected and worthy member of both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame as well as the Legends of Erotica. She has been a counselor and lecturer about the New Age metaphysical and is well respected in the field

               

When there is a discussion regarding the women of porn’s past this classy lady’s name is always at the top of the list where it belongs. She gave the adult industry so much during her time in front of the cameras. There were classic performances and classic films along with awards, admiration and love that all go hand and hand with this legendary star. Kay Parker was, and is, one of a kind and we are very fortunate to have had a woman of her stature grace the adult screens with so many memorable and unforgettable performances. Now, as she meets and sings with the angels we will always remember this remarkable lady and all that she gave not only the industry, but the world. R.I.P. lovely lady.

Art’s World – Stop! Enough is Enough

We have three weeks to go before it’s time to vote in the mid term elections, but already enough is enough with these political ads. I know they will continue for a few more weeks and we will have to put up with the continuing “sh*t show” from both sides. It is really becoming a big turn off to many people and really makes you wonder if any of these candidates have any real clue as to what the people of this country, city and state really need?

About the only people happy about all these political bs ads are the TV stations and the extra revenue it brings in. It has gotten to a point where we hit the mute button every time one of these ads come on because they are nothing but nasty, dirty, deceiving words and promises for 30 or 60 seconds. Words taken out of context, film clips that don’t matchup with the script, clips of candidates to make them look worse than they may be and a lot more that makes you wonder, as a voter, what the hell are they really thinking or doing to make life better for us?

Not only am I sick of all these political ads that are doing nothing for the people at all. The main focus seems to be making each candidate seem like the worst thing since Adolf Hitler. They spend 45 seconds ripping each other with words and clips and 15 seconds about all the “good they will do for us”. There is one local ad for a politician where they constantly use the candidate in a clip supporting gay people and the LBGTQ and calling them unfit and radical because they support them. Then of course there is the abortion scenario that has really gotten out of hand with some of the comments, film clips, etc. and the list goes on. It doesn’t make any difference if you are red or blue because both sides are not being honest with the voters with some of these ads. Then they wonder why it is some people won’t vote?

I watched most of the debate last night between Rubio and Demmings and it was as expected, a total “sh*t show” with both candidates accusing each other of lies (gee, how original is that?), not being for the people and their best interests and not getting things done. Of course, in this ‘debate” abortion once again took center stage and neither side came away with a satisfactory solution and the same with gun control and the mass murders and on and on. Next up will be a debate between Crist and DeSantis and I am sure it will be another finger pointing, over talking maze of nothingness.

I know a lot hangs in the balance for all of us with these mid terms and we all want to see the right people get voted in that will actually do something good for the people. It would also be a nice change if, in the next few weeks, some of these ads would actually focus on two things that have been missing……..truth and honesty. Yeah, I know that’s asking a lot, the odds of me winning the lottery are probably a lot better, but we can sure hope and pray we get some honesty and truth.

In the meantime, we’ll have to put up with all the bs for a few more weeks, but for me personally, stop, enough is enough!
