Friday 4 Star Feature – The Hitman: Love is Deadly – Sweet Sinner

The Hitman: Love is Deadly – Sweet Sinner – Director – Mike Quasar – Cast – September Reign, Kenzie Taylor, Freya Parker, Tommy Pistol, Ryan McLane.

**** 4 stars

Whenever I do the Friday reviews, I always try to look for a few standards. One, that it has appeal to couples and offers more than just sex. Two, that the stories and concept are believable and realistic. Three, that the casting has performers who can act as well as be sexually appealing. In this release from Sweet Sinner, you have all three components nicely etched all together by Mike Quasar. The fact that everyone in the cast of this film is also up for a variety of award nominations from XBIZ and AVN for their work during the past year, speaks well of their talents.

Tommy Pistol and Freya Parker are a married couple, but their union is on some very shaky ground with seemingly no chance of getting back to what it was. Pistol, has his own problems and has been seeing a therapist, September Reign, who he has been having an affair with. So, she urges him to take out a huge insurance policy on his wife, but that’s not all. The therapist sees a way to have Tommy and a better life all in one sweep. So how can that happen? She convinces him to hire a hitman to do the dirty work. Tommy’s not sure, but damn, some steamy sex can always help in making a decision. So, he goes about enlisting the services of Ryan McLane, a hired gun, to do the job for a nice big fee. What Tommy didn’t know was that Freya was going about her own business of filing for a divorce as well, but in a more legitimate way.

Nothing is easy in this setup as Ryan doesn’t immediately jump at the chance to make some big bucks so he can get away from his current life and go off somewhere with his girlfriend, Kenzie Taylor. The more he gets pressured to do the job, the more he feels something just doesn’t add up. So now you have both September pushing Tommy to get the deed done and Kenzie literally screaming at Ryan to take the money, do the job and then they can live their lives. So, against better judgement Ryan gives in and starts to plan his methods of erasing Freya and then getting out of town.

The big problem is once he meets Freya and gets to know her, he suddenly has feelings of guilt. One thing leads to another with these two and finally he can’t take it anymore and confesses to her what his original plan was but that he has fallen for her and cannot go through with it. She admits she was having feelings for him as well and forgives him. Of course, this all gets consummated with one hell of a sexual romp between them. So now that Ryan and Freya seem to have each other what comes next for all involved?

Let’s just say it is not all peaches and cream for everyone and some twists and turns take place before this story comes to an end. Does Ryan play Freya and go off with Kenzie? Do Tommy and September continue their affair? Does Ryan dump Kenzie for Freya? Does anyone meet a deadly end in this saga? Oh, there will be quite an ending to this story, but we will leave that for you to discover when you get hold of this DVD.

The story is well written by Jacky St. James and played out in fine fashion by this extremely talented and competent cast. September Reign shows why she is heavily nominated  for her acting skills and Tommy Pistol is, to me, one of the best all around actors to ever grace the porn screen. Kenzie, Freya and Ryan also are top shelf when it comes to acting performances. The pacing from scene to scene is well done, the cinematography allows for some super visuals not just of the sex scenes, but the overall production and settings. Quasar’s first feature for the label is definitely a very enjoyable and entertaining sex mystery geared for couples to be pleased with. If you are looking for a good “cuddle up” movie to view, then I highly recommend getting hold of “The Hitman: Love is Deadly”.

Friday 5 Star Feature – Dark is The Night – Wicked Pictures

Dark is the Night – Wicked Pictures – Director – James Avalon – Cast – Kenna James, Kiara Cole, Seth Gamble, Nathan Bronson, Able Godshark

***** 5 stars

You have a multi award winning producer in Axel Braun, a veteran award winning writer/director in James Avalon at the helm of this production. Then add in Best Actress award winner Kenna James and multi award winning Best Actor Seth Gamble in the lead roles you know this will be something very special and filled with a lot of extraordinary performances and plot twists. To complete this dark, noir styled creation are the talented Kiara Cole and Nathan Bronson in defining roles that bring this all out psychodrama and edge of your seat story full circle. There is no doubt in my mind, this is an adult film that can, and will, become an instant classic people will remember ten or more years from now.

The story revolves around a married couple, James and Bronson, whose relationship has literally fallen apart in every way. They are in debt and the bills just keep piling up. Even at the dinner table you can see she is bored and fed up while he seemingly doesn’t care. Then there is the mystery about the gun and notepad with names and dollar amounts. Avalon’s camera work and lighting in these scenes sets the dark mood and tone. Living in this big house practically alone, James puts out a sign that there is a room for rent at the house. Enter Seth Gamble as a very mysterious stranger both in looks and mannerisms. He comes to the house, sees the room and without hesitation and very little interaction rents the room and immediately takes up residence in the house.

Everything about this stranger seems mysterious, but who is he? What is his purpose? Why has he come to this particular house? As these scenes play out, once again the camera work, lighting and deliberate timing add to all the mystery. Day turns into night and Gamble is just laying back on the bed, a very pensive, wondering look about him. At this point the husband returns home and wastes no time getting his wife in the hallway and begins having sex with her in a very rough, intense way. She doesn’t fight back, gives in and then she gets turned on and this continues. Gamble can hear the noise from downstairs and still has that wondering look. The sex continues from the hallway to the living room and when it is all done and the husband has gotten what he wants, that’s it. No love, no romance, just getting laid and getting his rocks off.

Next morning the two men meet at the breakfast table and it is distantly cordial, but you can see it in their eyes that something is not right. After breakfast hubby is off on business. But it is monkey business as he is off to meet his mistress Kiara Cole, who turns out to be a lot more than that. After a long conversation later that night with the lonely wife, Gamble and James begin to interact and feel more comfortable around each other, but still there is a mystery that surrounds everyone that has yet to be revealed.

Someone is following the husband to his mistress’s place and sneaking around taking pictures of the two of them getting it on. This entire scene in the subdued noir style lighting and camera angles gives the sex play between these two an even more intense look and feel as they go at it with full abandon. After that, time passes and late at night Gamble is a bar having a drink when the stranger with the camera comes in. He sits down has a drink, says nothing and passes an envelope over to Gamble that contains photos of the husband and mistress. It is at this point where everything suddenly begins to take twists and turns, along with more sex, with some heavy dialogue and mysteries still to be unraveled. Then it will all culminate with an ending that you never saw coming. So, now I will leave it all up to you to find out just how this drama ends and the surprises it will bear.

This is a very compelling, dark, moody storyline and plot and could only be done in this noir style of yesteryear. The acting is tremendous and award worthy, the cinematography, lighting and settings are exceptional and award worthy. It just won our First Choice Award at our 30th Annual NightMoves Adult Awards Show this past Sunday. Everything about this film says award winner and should be a heavy contender at the AVN awards in January. James Avalon has created some fantastic films in his long career as a director and writer, and this may be his very best yet. Congratulations to everyone connected with the making of this instant classic. A job well done that adult film fans cannot afford to miss!

Friday 5 Star Feature – The Cursed XXX – Adam & Eve Pictures

The Cursed XXX – Adam & Eve Pictures – Director – Will Ryder – Cast – Riley Reid, Kat Dior, Sarah Vandella, Misty Stone, Nia Nacci, Victoria June, Holly Hendrix, Mike Mancini, Seth Gamble, Brad Armstrong, Chad White, Connor Kennedy, James Bartholet, Frank Bukwydd and others.

In view of the fact that Will Ryder has another excursion into the paranormal for later this year, we dug up this gem for you to sink your teeth into. Enjoy!

When you mention the name Will Ryder you think right away TV and movie XXX parodies like the Brady Bunch, Bewitched, Rocky, Grease, etc. Then there is his mega hit and recent award winning comedy “Bad Babes Inc.” Now this brilliant director comes full circle in what can best be described as “Will Ryder meets Stephen King”! This is a truly edge of your seat, supernatural thriller that is incredibly performed and put together by an outstanding cast. It is unlike anything Ryder has ever done, but I can honestly say after seeing this production and how masterful it is all put together, what can he do for an encore?

In this horror and supernatural mix the setting is a Cam House that turns out to be haunted and a place for paranormal experiences that will scare the bejeezus out of the girls working and living there. It all becomes frightfully real when the dead body of one of the girls is found floating in the pool. What begins to happen throughout this house is the basis for the story and plot of the film. It also creates a tour de force performance by Riley Reid, who probably pulls off the best characterization of her career in this release. It is a Riley Reid you have never seen before. Fear not, there is plenty of steamy, sizzling sex in this filmi to keep you busy, but it is the story, the edge of your seat occurrences and the continued twists and turns that take center stage under Ryder’s creative and masterful direction.

Another major part of this movie that is accomplished is the stunt work. There are people flying through the air, being pulled  and tossed around by supernatural forces and the like. While some of the simpler moves are done by cast members, the truly dangerous stunts are done with perfection by 1am Doll USA. The doll, which bears a strong resemblance to Riley, doubles for the adult star in special scenes. According to Ryder, these lifelike dolls weigh eighty five pounds, so they are, in many ways, very real.

Right from the opening and the credits you know this is going to be a special movie. Riley, as Abigail, is in front of a raging fire, the cause of that fire is revealed later on. Then we see her dressed and in the bathroom about to take a handful of pills. The man who runs this cam house (Brad Armstrong) comes in to escort her and show her around as she is the new girl in the house. We get a glimpse of the different girls doing their cam thing and you immediately can sense that Riley is not just your normal cam girl. Her look is very freaky and devilish and her motions emphasize that. Then we have Misty Stone and some of the girls in the kitchen “practicing” oral with bananas and it is a fun scene except that every little noise tends to freak the girls out. There is also a scene outside by the pool that looks very normal, but is it? That will come into play soon.

It is quickly obvious the girls do not like Riley and vice versa. Once again her motions and looks are strange and weird, but Brad Armstrong, tells them not to worry and that everything is okay, but is it? Later that night Brad is in bed with his favorite girl Kat Dior and it seems as though he is keeping a big dark secret from everyone and Kat wants him to tell the girls but he won’t. They hear a noise out by the pool, but think it’s just the girls enjoying themselves. The next morning they discover a dead body in the pool of one of the girls and now the cops are involved. Seth Gamble and Sarah Vandella are the two detectives handling the case. They are the last people Brad wanted to see at his house for several reasons and the investigation begins. But it will turn up one dead end after another.

The detectives talk to the girls and it is then that the secret Brad is keeping is revealed and it freaks them out even more. What was it and what effect has it had on the cam house. Nope, not gonna tell you, you’ll have to get the DVD to find out. I will tell you it has a lot to do with everything that happens in the house and with the girls, who the dead girl could be and a lot more. There is a scene with Riley primping in front of a mirror when a monster clown figure comes into view and disappears freaking her out and now the supernatural and weird happenings will begin to reek havoc on everyone. She also plays up to Brad and leaves him with a vampirish kiss. There is an exorcism, the ridding on super natural entities and much more.

There is so much going on in this film that to give you everything would fill three pages. That being said, this is a superb production in every way. First the casting is impeccable and some of the acting is very mainstream like. Having a super star like Brad Armstrong is major plus, but Riley outdoes herself and the entire cast, big part or small part is exceptional. The cinematography, music, lighting and pacing are perfect and the special effects are fantastic. Ryder and Adam & Eve should be very proud of this effort and be prepared for a lot of award nominations in a variety of categories when awards buzz begins. This is a DVD you do not want to miss getting hold of. I very strongly recommend “The Curse XXX” for some exceptional adult entertainment and viewing.

One final note: In late summer 2022 you can look for another visit to the paranormal, sci fi world as Will Ryder brings you a brand new edge of your seat, sexy thriller.
