Two compelling, dramatic, sinister yet playful, stories that are wrapped up in a nice package by director Greenwood. It is easy to see why, after just several minutes, why this release has a few worthy nominations in the upcoming AVN awards. Well written by Greenwood each story has a strong believability factor and is performed in a very honest and realistic way by the very talented cast of characters. The sexual connections that come along in each story are woven into the stories at just the right time and place to add even more believability to the scene.
In the opener Candice Dare and Rayveness are a married couple and Oliver Davis is employed by Candice, but there is an immediate twist to this three character play that will soon be revealed. Oliver has been doing a great job and Candice invites him to have dinner at her home. He’s a bit surprised and taken back but figures this may be a good step in getting a raise or promotion or both, so he accepts. Once he shows up at the very well appointed home he meets Candice’ wife, Rayveness who look absolutely stunning. As dinner begins Candice tells Oliver that while she is a lesbian and they are married, Rayveness is bisexual and at times needs what Candice cannot give her. So to satisfy the need Candice will bring home a guy for Rayveness to have fun with from time to time. Oliver is really shocked by this surprise announcement but is quickly put in a more relaxed mood by both ladies. What then takes place after dinner becomes a very explosive encounter between these two as they go at it hot and heavy with Rayveness leaving Oliver totally spent after their encounter. Did he get the promotion? He sure as hell got a raise!
In the second story Vanessa Vega and Nathan Bronson are a happily married couple with a bit of kink to their relationship. They always offer up a variety of very entertaining series like this one, have the most talented stars and newcomers and make their productions easy to enjoy for both men and women. This particular series is another of their various award winners over the years. In this volume GFF’s contract star blazing redhead Lacy Lennon stars in two different scenes, each with its own story line loaded with passion, seduction and female empowerment. It is no wonder that Ricky continues to pile up award after award, and this film is in line for more. In “Grinders” he takes us back to the 90’s and the skateboarding phenomenon that gripped the country. He feeds us the story line in almost a pure documentary style and weaves in some blistering sexual scenes that smolder with just what that time period was like on a skateboard or in a bed.
Have you ever known someone who either has a hard time, or refuses to grow up and move on with their life? That pretty much sums up the makeup of our lead character in this coming of age reveal. Right from the open as we see Lucky Fate cruising about on his skateboard, music pumping away in the background, you know there is a lot of action to come in a variety of ways. One is his girlfriend Maya Woulfe, but that will take a while to develop. Then there is the ongoing feud he has with his father incredibly played by Tommy Pistol, one of adult’s most versatile and talented actors. Adding to the dynamics of this family is Vicki Chase as the mother in a solid role that offers up a lot more than just her passionate sexuality.
Throughout the film Lucky goes through a lot of rough patches both with friends, as well as family, but he is driven to succeed and also mature in the process. The casting is spot on with Lucky Fate the perfect, and only choice for this role. Tommy Pistol once again proves his artistry as an actor, Maya Woulfe plays his girlfriend with the perfect timidness that hides her real feelings, Vicki Chase once again scores big as the wife and mother and the rest of the cast fit just like a glove to bring the stark reality of this lifestyle into this epic production.
The AVN nominations were just announced and “Grinders” is up for a number of awards in a variety of categories, which is no surprise at all. The question is, just how many will this latest Ricky Greenwood gem walk away with? Brunette & Busty – Airerose Entertainment – They blondes have more fun, but never underestimate brunettes. (Hollywood, CA) Adult movie actress September Reign will receive the X-Play ‘Actress of the Year award’ for her dramatic performance in Adam & Eve Pictures’ Love, Sex & Music. This is the premiere edition of the award and it is an accolade that director Will Ryder and producer Scott David have been planning for the past three years.
“Ever since Covid hit, we were thinking of creating an early acknowledgment intended to honor actors both male and female, that have excelled in our movies,” Ryder stated. “Some companies give out ‘girl of the month’ awards, we decided on ‘actress of the year’ for our company.”
X-Play produces big feature movies for companies including Adam & Eve Pictures and their production of Love, Sex & Music, written and directed by Ryder, and starring Reign, tells the story of an aspiring Black singer/songwriter who moves to Nashville to launch her career in country music but is instead met with racism and corporate greed.
“Show me a better performance this year,” poked Ryder. “September Reign is now among the adult industry’s finest actors and we are proud to honor her with this award.”
With eight years in the adult movie business, the beautiful, diminutive actress with the attractive breasts, finally received the role she had been waiting for and is now being honored by the company.
“I’ve had some nice roles in the past but ‘Dixie’, the character I play, had some real depth to her, she was a real person with an impossible battle on her hands,” Reign remarked over lunch at a Hollywood eatery.
“She’s multi-dimensional and she’s Black, all alone knocking on doors on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. She’s such a deep character and it’s as though this movie was made for me. I’m so proud to have teamed up with Will and thankful he had faith in me that I could pull off the role.”
“To be honest, I wasn’t sure what I was going to get with September,” Ryder remarked when discussing the drama and the award with co-producer Scott David.
“She had a long resume’ of work, but placing an entire feature movie in her hands took a leap of faith on our part and also from Adam & Eve,” Ryder explained. “You have to understand, that if September is not believable in the role of Dixie, the movie dies instantly. It’s that simple.”
Instead of dying, Love, Sex & Music is soaring with Reign’s stellar performance and an ensemble cast that breathed Nashville and is now considered by critics among the year’s best feature movie presentations.
Art Koch in his review on the All Adult Network writes, “With September Reign in an award nom performance, this is a well written, superbly acted story that is extremely real and believable and is among the best movies Ryder has ever done.”
“September is very deserving of our premiere award,” co-producer Scott David determined.
“I remember seeing September in Ethnicity from Wicked Pictures some years ago and I’ve always wanted to work with her but sometimes, you need the right script at that perfect moment and this was a collision of fate,” Ryder remarked.
“I started as a stripper on that Déjà vu nightclub stage a decade ago, in the limelight so to speak. So going into adult movies was a natural progression for me,” offered the Sacramento California native. “I’ve been working as a stripper, a webcam model and as an adult movie performer but I really feel like an actress now,” she added.
Reign summed up her feelings this way, “I don’t take anything for granted especially roles, nominations or even awards and being Black sometimes we aren’t noticed as much, but I’m very happy today with this movie and this honor. We put the work in that’s for sure.”
