ELEVATE Announces Madison Zack-Wu as Last Community Partner of 2023

(Seattle, WA) ELEVATE (presented by Streamate) is thrilled to announce its exclusive one-month partnership with Madison Zack-Wu in December. Wu is a dancer, sex work activist, and campaign manager for the Washington State grassroots organization Strippers Are Workers (SAW).

The cross-collaboration aims to highlight the contributions of Zack-Wu for her work with Strippers Are Workers, an inspiring journey of grit and determination that showcases the impact one individual can have in promoting change through direct participation in the legislative process.

Madison’s journey from starting her dancing career at 18 to becoming an advocate for dancers’ rights in Washington state is a testament to personal growth and how using past experiences can help drive positive change for others. Coming from the world of stripping and shifting her focus to political activism demonstrates the diverse skill sets and insights that can be gained through sex work.

Madison’s advocacy work with @strippersareworkerswa includes a push to adopt SB-5614 during the upcoming legislative session in early 2024. Sponsored by State Senator Rebecca Saldana (D-Seattle), SB-5614 not only aims to eliminate exploitative practices like charging back-rent and excessive club fees but also prioritizes the safety and well-being of dancers by advocating for measures such as security staff and panic buttons. Moreover, the focus on legalizing alcohol sales in WA state strip clubs highlights an aspect often overlooked in the debate – the potential impacts on what have become extremely challenging work environments for club entertainers. The bill had previously passed in the Washington Senate during the previous legislative session in 2023 but failed to pass in the House. By shedding light on these issues and working to improve the framework for WA state strip clubs, Madison and SAW hope to create safer and more equitable working environments for all dancers in Washington.

Through December, ELEVATE will highlight Madison on its Instagram and YouTube accounts through a series of informative content, including a camera interview conducted by ELEVATE Program Director Vanessa Eve and directed by Anthony Sy.

“It’s been such a positive experience collaborating with Madison and witnessing some of her work first-hand, including a public fundraiser and pole showcase for Strippers Are Workers that she and her team organized in the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Although Streamate is recognized for its achievements in the digital space, collaborating with other facets of adult, like exotic dancing through ELEVATE, highlights some of our shared challenges and the collective strength that can be found when we stand together as a community: each facet brings unique insights and experiences, enriching us all with a broader understanding of our industry’s complexities and pathways to potential solutions. By uniting our expertise, we create a powerful symphony of support and empowerment, fostering solidarity that elevates every sex worker’s voice and rights,” says ELEVATE’s Vanessa Eve.

“This collaboration with ELEVATE is a wonderful opportunity to show sex workers that we can come together, build community, and use that community to better our workers’ rights! says Madison Zack-Wu.

ELEVATE Announces Inka Winter as November 2022 Community Partner

(Los Angeles, CA) As ELEVATE (presented by Streamate) continues to change the narrative around people engaged in and/or who work adjacent to the adult space, they’ve announced their Community Partner for November 2022, and it’s Inka Winter, ForPlay Films Director and Founder.
LA-based costume designer and lifelong artist Inka Winter temporarily lost her sex drive in her thirties and looked to adult content to reignite it. Turned off by objectifying and degrading images, Inka wanted sensual and sexy porn that showed women enjoying sex for their pleasure. So she started ForPlay Films and made her own content to help herself and other women feel sexually empowered. The independent, award-winning, all-woman production company creates erotic short films through a feminist gaze and brings their pleasure and fantasies front and center. Both real-life couples and professional adult performers star in films that focus on chemistry, consent, and women’s sexual autonomy. ForPlay Films also produces Sexucation, a series of short videos that use humor to educate women and men on all-things sex.
Besides being promoted on ELEVATE’s social media (@beyondsexwork on Twitter and Instagram), Inka made her live streaming debut on Streamate on Friday, November 11th. “How to Please the Vagina” was seen at InkaWinter.cammodels.com and featured Inka and special guests Megan Mistakes and Jasmine Teaa answering viewer questions, offering educational insights, and delivering some sexy surprises. ELEVATE also encourages their followers to engage Community Partner Inka Winter, on Instagram at @inka.winter and Foreplay Films at @ForPlayFilms on Twitter and IG, and visit their site forplayfilms.com.
“I am very excited about this partnership. Coming from an angle of sex education and sensuality coaching, with this partnership, we are trying something different on the Streamate platform. I am looking forward to seeing how it will be received,” says Inka Winter.
“The Elevate team is really thrilled to be working with Inka! We’re inspired by Inka’s unwavering determination to shake up the protocol around sexual imagery, which is often catered solely toward masculine leaning audiences. Inka and her all-woman crew are fearlessly paving the way for future creators who wish to offer alternative views of sex and intimacy from a feminine perspective, richly layered with all of the subtle nuances that strike deep into viewers’ pleasure centers. The fact that Inka prioritizes ethical practices throughout the production process, should be something that we continue to normalize as an industry,” says Streamate Director of Community Relations and Elevate Creator Vanessa Eve.
