The most devious, sexual little devil is celebrating her 2nd-anniversary of being a JAV actress. Let’s celebrate warmly with Ichika Matsumoto. She’s always been one to play those youthful roles we all know. Her small frame and very young appeal make her a lovable girl for many. Ichika, recently, has been doing quite well ranking-wise among JAV fans here on R18 and even with Fanza.
Ichika’s peachy ass is something she’s never shy to stick out and make it readily available for sex. But it’s only been two years since we’ve been met with Ichika and enjoyed her brand of eroticism in the industry. It feels like so much longer than that, doesn’t it? Regardless, it’s anniversary #2 and Ichika is with Fanza to discuss some things surrounding her two years and some JAV titles.

Matsumoto: I’m wondering what we’re going to talk about today.
Matsumoto: Wow, thank you very much.
Matsumoto: It was a blink of an eye, really.
Matsumoto: Thank you very much.
Matsumoto: On my days off, I either sleep or eat.
Matsumoto: I’ve been given days off, but I usually get sore muscles after a day off. I got carried away and did too many cowgirl positions.
Never Done Any Acting
Matsumoto: No, not really. Recently, I wanted to join the Himawari Theater Company.
Matsumoto: I want to study acting, so I want to join Himawari.
Matsumoto: I like Aina Ashida and Shin Terada. I feel respect for them.
Matsumoto: Hahaha. I’m a small girl after all. I’m influenced by Lolita, so I think I’ll do Lolita (laughs).
Matsumoto: I don’t know. If I get into it, I might be the type to let it come out.
Matsumoto: I don’t have a character, I just do what I do. I just do it as I am.
Matsumoto: It’s easy for me to play a character if I can make it look like me. I’m often told that I’m good at acting, but I’ve never done any kind of acting.
Matsumoto: No, I don’t.
Matsumoto: No, I’m not interested (laughs).
Matsumoto: I’m very grateful.
Matsumoto: That’s right.
Matsumoto: It’s not that I’m not interested, it’s just that I don’t have much of a competitive spirit or fighting spirit.
Matsumoto: My passion for my work is stronger than the rankings…
Matsumoto: I just want to be able to express what I have in mind.
Matsumoto: After I became a single-planning actress, I got busy and started to think of it as a job, so I guess that’s when it started.
Matsumoto: I’ve never had a real job except for this. I think I became aware of it as a job when I started doing it.
Matsumoto: I learned that there are many people involved in this project. I guess that’s how I feel.
Matsumoto: Yes, I do. I look at them to see how they look cute or erotic.
Matsumoto: After all, it changes the way it looks, doesn’t it?
Matsumoto: No. I finally started watching after about a year.
Matsumoto: I saw a movie with someone, and I was so happy that I bought it, watched it, and thought it was ugly. Maybe that’s when I started watching it. I thought I should try harder.
Matsumoto: (laughs)
Diligent Note-taking
Matsumoto: Yes, yes. It’s so nostalgic. I love this work.
Matsumoto: This was the first time I did a real drama. I wrote all my lines in a notebook the day before and kept writing until I learned them.
Matsumoto: That’s right. I bought a notebook and wrote until I memorized it. Once I had it memorized, I would write the lines on the next page. That’s what I did all the time.
Matsumoto: My fans often tell me they like it too.
Matsumoto: No, I haven’t.
Matsumoto: I’ve seen other girls’ work. So maybe I’m a little influenced. Maybe it’s Mitsuki Nagisa.
Matsumoto: Surprisingly, I wasn’t nervous. The director was very detailed in his filming. It was easy to do.
Strong-willed Cheerleader
Matsumoto: I think I have a strong heart. But was I still nervous? I don’t remember.
Matsumoto: I’ve never been really nervous. Even in school, you have to give a presentation in front of everyone. I didn’t get too nervous at that time either. I liked that kind of thing. That’s why I was a cheerleader leader and so on.
Matsumoto: You do that in elementary school, don’t you? That’s what I did. I liked being in front of people too much.
Matsumoto: But when I was in high school, I decided that I didn’t want to stand out…
Matsumoto: Suddenly my character changed (laughs). After I realized that I was ugly, I became like this (face down). I was like, “Sorry, I’ll just live like this.” Yeah, well, I’m not nervous.
Matsumoto: I was in the basketball club. But I was a ghost member. I couldn’t dribble.
Matsumoto: That’s right. I couldn’t shoot a layup off the dribble anymore (laughs). I said I wasn’t suited for it (laughs). I was warming up on the bench (laughs).
The Night Before her Debut
Matsumoto: That’s a big jump (laughs)
Matsumoto: Yes. But I was still a little nervous. I thought I had a lot of guts. I was so nervous that I couldn’t sleep. I remember it so well. I couldn’t sleep at all, so I went all night.
Matsumoto: I couldn’t sleep. Even when we were taking pictures, I was so dizzy because I hadn’t slept. I don’t think I looked good at all. This is how I was doing it. I was like this, squinting in my sleepiness.
On The Verge of Quitting
Matsumoto: The part with the fan and the classmate was not really written in the script. They really just said, “Ichika, you do it.”
Matsumoto: No, that’s not it. First of all, before making this film, I talked about my own experience of love, and then she made it.
Matsumoto: I was told, “Think about what you would do if you were Ichika-chan,” so I did it. It was a scene that I thought didn’t go so well, so I was happy to hear that she liked it.
Matsumoto: I thought the story of the underground idol would be more in line with my real life.
Matsumoto: Scene 2 and scene 3 are based on that. When I told the story of my friend who I used to date who had a job like that, and how I stole away the person she loved, scenes 2 and 3 came to be like that, so I think that’s how I made them.
Matsumoto: No, really, I just got into it and cried.
Matsumoto: I really cried, I couldn’t stop crying.
Matsumoto: I was told not to cry because it wouldn’t be erotic if I did, but I did. But when I was told not to cry, I felt like crying even more. I was like, “Mmm!” So I cried a lot. So it didn’t go so well.
Matsumoto: If anything, the story of the JAV director in scene 1 was much easier to do. I thought that was the best one.
Matsumoto: I think I did a better job with that one.
Matsumoto: Really? It’s easier to do it that way, isn’t it?
Matsumoto: Yes, that’s right. I had a lot of inspiration from that side. Scenes 2 and 3 were difficult for me.
Matsumoto: Really? That was directed by director Masaki, so I couldn’t do it very well myself.
Matsumoto: Really? Because after I finished filming this movie, I said to myself, “I want to quit being a JAV actress (in tears).” I couldn’t do it well.
Matsumoto: Masaki and the producer kept telling me, “Don’t worry, don’t worry” (hugging me from both sides), but I said, “But I want to quit” (crying). I was really depressed.
Matsumoto: Really? That’s great!
Matsumoto: Yes, yes.
Threesomes? Scream More!
Matsumoto: Yes, very much.
Matsumoto: I like to do anal sex. I do it a lot.
Matsumoto: Not this one (fingertip), but this one (the second joint of the bent index finger), so you poke it there. Surprisingly, everyone gets in.
Matsumoto: Because what can you do back there?
Matsumoto: Yay!
Matsumoto: Really, I’m glad to hear that. I thought I was terrible at it. Basically, I play with his anus whenever I have time. Or I touch his balls. It’s interesting to see their reactions. It’s not written in the script. I’d say, “In threesomes, it’s all about having fun.”
Matsumoto: Well, sometimes I think about it, but sometimes I don’t…
Matsumoto: It’s a bit of the same thing.
Matsumoto: It depends on the director. He may be serious, so I should do it properly.
Matsumoto: In this case, I thought I should just have fun with the director.
Matsumoto: Yes. I shoot handheld. If the camera was fixed, I would decide where to shoot, but if it was handheld, I could just move around as I wanted.
Matsumoto: I couldn’t call Aoi Kururugi “Aoi-chan” or “Aoi”, so I was happy to be a junior character.
Matsumoto: I usually call her “Ms. Kururugi” (laughs).
Matsumoto: Yes, I’ve always thought of her as a succubus.
Matsumoto: She’s really cocky, so it’s easy to play with her (laughs).
The Size of Her Breasts
Matsumoto: Hahaha! (Banging on the desk) Wasn’t that awful (laughs)? The dresser didn’t know my chest size (laughs). (laughs) They’re too big. It’s really terrible.
Matsumoto: I hate to lose. I was really crying when I saw that.
Matsumoto: I spent my whole life as an actress. On my own.
Matsumoto: I did. It was interesting and made me laugh.
Matsumoto: Really? That makes me happy. I wonder why. Maybe because I cried.
Matsumoto: Maybe it would be better if everyone cried (laughs)
Ichika Matsumoto is truly herself. It shows in her JAV titles and the beginning of her interview here expands on what we love about her. She enjoys sex, she enjoys being a JAV actress overall. And she takes things extremely seriously when it comes to this line of work. When we return with the 2nd portion, Ichika will go over some new movies and genres she’d love to try.
