Setsu: Every day is exciting and fun! I’ve been swimming for a long time, so I’m a physically strong person. I would like to work hard and stay healthy.

IV: Did you learn to swim at school or in a club?

Setsu: No, it wasn’t a club activity or anything, it was a… hobby!

IV: A hobby? That’s unusual. Do you like to swim?

Setsu:  That’s right. But I didn’t want to be forced to do it as part of club activities… I just like the atmosphere of the lights and sound in the water, so competing for a time wasn’t exactly my thing either…! So I just went to the municipal pool and swam as I liked (laughs).

IV: It’s kind of artistic to like the atmosphere in the water.

Setsu: I wonder if that’s true. While swimming, I feel good because I don’t have to think about anything.

IV: By the way, what kind of club activities were you involved in?

Setsu: I was in a club called the English Club, where I learned English conversations… for internal scores (laughs).
