IV (Interviewer): To begin with, has your sense of beauty changed in any way since you made your porn debut?
Shiraishi: As I told you last time, it is of course important to take all possible measures both inside and outside, but in the end, I think it is beautiful to be honest with yourself. A sense of beauty is not just about beauty. I think being honest to your senses, believing in those senses, and continuing to do what you love and dabbling in those things will lead to your sense of beauty.
IV: Did you develop these aesthetics while working as a porn star?
Shiraishi: Yes, I did. I got married before I made my debut, had a baby, raised a c***d, and continued to work as a JAV actress while maintaining a happy marriage. (laughs) I think it was good that I took a break and had time to reflect on my work as an actress and think about my other work. That’s why I only do what I like now, and I’m only surrounded by things I like.
IV: But when you made your debut, you didn’t think you’d make it this far, did you?
Shirashi: I didn’t think so at all (laughs)! First of all, when I made my debut, it was important that my family didn’t find out about it, but after I released my first photo book, they found out immediately (laughs). We had a family meeting and I said I would quit in a year or two, but as I won the Newcomer’s Actress Award at the awards and became a member of now Ebisu Muscats, my mother, who had been very against it, became more supportive.

2013 JAV Debut:
Shiraishi: Before I made my debut in the adult film industry, I worked for a company as a full-time employee and also had a part-time job, but I couldn’t give up the desire to work in a job where I could express myself in front of people. It was then that an actress who belonged to my agency at the time invited me to join the adult film industry through a message on social media. I was interested in the world of expression, which was different from the entertainment industry I had experienced before, and more importantly, I liked sex, so I decided to make my debut.

Shiraishi: My family already knew that I had made my adult film debut, and I had the backing of my father and mother to help me raise my children. Without this help, I wouldn’t have been able to make the ambitious moves to win the awards, such as working on events leading up to the award appearances and getting the word out on social media. I wouldn’t have been able to win these awards without the help of my family.
In 2014, I won the “Best Newcomer” Award at the DMM Adult Awards 2014.
Shiraishi: After winning the Rookie of the Year Award, I joined the Ebisu★Muscats and was cast in a variety show on regular TV, as well as a series of V-Cinema and drama productions. (laughs) Whenever she saw me in the magazine section of a convenience store, she would say to her mommy friends, “This is my c***d.” Gradually, my family began to approve of my work, and I was especially happy when my brother invited me to his wedding.
2018 Inactivity
Shiraishi: After five years since my debut, I felt like I was getting a little tired, and I wanted to take a break and reset. So I took a break for a year and three months. That’s not to say that I took a complete break, but I used that time to plant my seeds in the non-adult world, starting a stage show, a YouTube channel, and DJ’ing.
Actually, it was because I wanted to find something else to do for when I retired in the future, though it was not a job in hand. At that time, of course, I thought about retiring, but I felt that it was not the right time yet, so I faced myself properly and made a fresh start as an exclusive Madonna actress.
2020: became Madonna’s exclusive actress
Shiraishi: I had the opportunity to work with Yuko Shiraki, then an exclusive Madonna actress, in a JAV actress unit called “Sexy J.” I had seen how friendly and good-natured Ms. Shiraki was, so I was honored to be asked to join the company that she had been a part of for the longest time.
In addition, I was the youngest of the Madonna exclusive actresses at the time, although I had always been the oldest person on the set (although there are many new actresses now). That was also a fresh pleasure.

Shiraishi: What I felt more strongly after working with Mr. Kazama, whom I respect, is… to celebrate my 10th anniversary as an active member. It’s an industry that can go on for 10 or 20 years, depending on your own efforts and the wishes of your fans, so I’d like to do it for as many years as possible, not just 10.
“I want to do this for as many years as I can.” Her strong words make me happy, but I know that some mature female actresses with children are worried about continuing to work as a JAV actress during their growth. What about myself?
