After a two year hiatus due to the global pandemic, MGM Grand hosted the 2022 Annual Altitude Intimate Show in warm Las Vegas, Nevada. The show is dedicated to global distributors and buyers representing companies from France, Poland, Germany, and United States. Val and Denise, the ladies in charge, made it all possible.
Kirb: Some quick questions and answers I’d like to have in my recap of your show for Adult Industry News.
1) After a 2 year hiatus from a global pandemic what was the vibe like with the distributors and buyers?
Val and Denise: The Altitude Show offered the perfect atmosphere for the entire industry to reunite and reconnect in person after so long. You could feel the positive energy all around the show floor and during our welcome party. The traffic exceeded all expectations and everyone was just excited to be together and able to do business in a pleasant and business conductive environment. But more than anything, the overall experience was an enjoyable and exciting one on a personal level!
2) Which was the most popular booth and display at the show?
Val and Denise: Traffic was really overwhelming! Every booth seemed to be packed with enthusiastic buyers and staff. All exhibitors were extremely satisfied with results.
3) Were the distributors and buyers satisfied with the amount of networking opportunities?
Val and Denise: Definitely. We keep receiving great comments about the experience and signing vendors for Altitude 2023. Phone calls and emails are non-stop.
4) Do you feel that social media online is attracting more distributors and buyers rather than word of mouth?
Val and Denise: Currently, Both of them are a great way of connecting. The power of social media is undeniable but a close industry like ours continues to benefit greatly from word of mouth and peers reviews.
5) Any new features that you would like to see incorporated at next year’s Altitude Intimate Show?
Val and Denise: We are excited to go back to the Paris Hotel! Both, Buyers and Exhibitors enjoyed the venue and we are excited to make it happen for them once again. We continue working on strengthening relationships with Domestic and International attendees, streamlining registration process, and investing in technology to bring vendors and buyers closer together.
6) What was the highlight of this year’s show?
Val and Denise: Bringing the Industry together after almost 3 years was a very powerful experience. People were craving to be together once again and Altitude was the perfect setting to make it happen! All vendors gave 110% to welcome buyers and present newness in a very effective way. At the end of the day, the energy of the show was a very high one and everyone left with a positive outlook for the future of our business.

Kathryn Hartman, Sales and Marketing Director of Nasstoys of New Jersey, a company is known for great customer service and their high fill rate said “many of us vendors and buyers experience pre-show jitters and anxiety prior to the event but once we got here, it has so far been great to see everyone in person again”

Vibratex is proudly dubuting its newest 9.6 inch 6000 RPM Magic Wand Mini at the show, boasting approximately 2.5 hour run time with full charge life long battery. This product was a result of a 2 year project with refreshed branding, testing through Hitachi, and in house design packaging team and will be shipping out to retailers in late March. According to Eddie, “Magic Wand fans will not be defined in age groups – this is a toy for all ages.”
Touch of Fur, a veteran company at the show, first displayed their unique products in 1999 at the International Lingerie Show held in the Tropicana Hotel. Touch of Fur is known for their hand made products with both natural and dyed fur. This Las Vegas based wholesaler showcases to many other Adult Conventions, including Chicago’s Exxxotica Show. Matt, Owner & President, said, “It’s a beautiful drive from Las Vegas ’til you get to Denver, Colorado… then it’s all flat and boring to Chicago, Illinois.”
Norwegian model, Liz Moss was representing Escante Lingerie of San Antonio, Texas. She is featured the box cover for their upcoming 2022 Collection Barely Bare.
Albert, General Manager, and William, Vice President of Miscellaneous, were at the show representing Spartacus Leathers from Portland, Oregon. Spartacus Leathers has been in business since 1954 and is famous for their leather goods, cock rings, nipple clamps, as well as handmade floggers in all sizes and colors. All restraints, floggers, and cock and ball devices in their leather line are made in house. BDSM accessories have risen in sales since the erotic romance novel Fifty Shades of Grey in 2011, followed by the movie in 2015, which attracted many curious of the guilty pleasures. William says “Bondage is about control, not necessarily pain.”
Next year’s Altitude Intimate Show will be held Monday March 20th until Wednesday March 22nd, 2023 at the Paris Hotel, Las Vegas.
